Job summary

Westlake Chemical is seeking an HSE Specialist to coordinate site safety programs, train personnel, and ensure regulatory compliance. You will develop safety training, maintain records, and support incident investigations to minimize risk across the plant.

A bachelor’s in environmental health and safety is required, with CSP/CIH preferred and 1–3 years’ experience in manufacturing. This is an on-site role in Massachusetts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, occupational health and safety, or related field required.
• 1–3 years' experience in a relevant field; manufacturing experience preferred.
• Preferred CSP or CIH certification; strong communication and organizational skills emphasized.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate site safety programs to ensure compliance with Company, OSHA, local, state and federal regulations.
• Train, coach and lead personnel in Risk Control/Reduction principles and safe practices.
• Maintain safety records and support KPI programs across the plant.
• Develop site-specific safety training and incident investigation support.
• Assist management with incident reports and root cause analyses.
• Participate in Gemba walks and communicate findings to site leadership.
