Job summary

Akumin is hiring a X-Ray Tech on a PRN basis for our West Palm Beach facility. The role entails administering ionizing radiation for diagnostic exams, operating diverse X-ray equipment, and coordinating care with radiologists.

You will work with EMR, PACS, and DICOM systems while ensuring patient safety and confidentiality. The ideal candidate has ARRT certification, CPR/BLS, and ACLS where applicable, with a HS diploma or equivalent and an associate degree preferred.

Qualifications

• ARRT (R) certification; state license if applicable.
• CPR/BLS certification from AHA or ARC.
• ACLS certification where applicable.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree preferred.
• Ability to work across multiple locations.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer ionizing radiation to obtain diagnostic exams per physician orders.
• Demonstrate competency with X-ray equipment and varying modalities.
• Communicate effectively with patients and radiologists.
• Maintain quality levels and participate in process improvements.
• Utilize EMR, PACS, and DICOM for image sharing and interpretation.
• Train and orient new technologists and patient coordinators as needed.
• Complete annual/site competencies and ongoing education as designated.
