Job summary

Akumin is hiring a PRN Radiologic (X-Ray) Technologist for the West Palm Beach facility. The role requires producing diagnostic images, complying with radiologic safety, and supporting coverage for absences. Flexibility to respond to per-diem requests and to work at multiple sites is essential.

Qualifications include ARRT(R), state license if applicable, CPR/BLS, and a valid driver’s license. Strong customer service and ability to operate EMR/PACS/DICOM are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred.
• ARRT (R) certification.
• State license, if applicable.
• CPR/BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
• Valid driver's license; ability to travel to multiple locations.
• Strong customer service, organizational and multitasking skills.
• Experience with computer applications and imaging workflows.

Responsibilities

• Administer ionizing radiation to obtain diagnostic exams as ordered by the physician while following legal requirements.
• Demonstrate competency with differing X-ray equipment; communicate with patients and radiologists.
• Maintain quality that meets or exceeds expectations; participate in process improvements.
• Use EMR, PACS and DICOM systems for image sharing and interpretation.
• Train and orient new technologists and patient coordinators; complete annual education and site competencies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
