Job summary

Akumin is seeking a PRN Radiologic (X-Ray) Technologist for our South Florida facilities. The role involves producing diagnostic images, handling ionizing radiation, and ensuring quality results in compliance with HIPAA and company policies.

Requirements include ARRT (R), state licensure if applicable, CPR/BLS or ACLS as needed, and a flexible schedule to cover shifts across multiple locations within a 30-day period.

Qualifications

• All applicants must have ARRT (R) certification.
• State license, if applicable, required.
• CPR/BLS from AHA or ARC; ACLS where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Administer ionizing radiation to obtain diagnostic exams per physician orders and legal requirements.
• Demonstrate competency with varying X-ray equipment and communicate with patients and radiologists.
• Maintain quality standards to meet customer expectations through teamwork and process improvements.
• Proficiency with EMR, PACS, and DICOM systems for image sharing and interpretation.
• Train new technologists and patient coordinators; complete ongoing education and site competencies as designated by leadership.
• Other duties as assigned by leadership.
