Job summary

Akumin is seeking a PRN Radiologic (X-Ray) Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic imaging at our South Florida facilities. This per-diem role requires flexibility to cover shifts as needed, ensuring high-quality images and patient safety.

Responsibilities include operating X-ray equipment, documenting procedures, and assisting licensed practitioners. Candidates should hold ARRT (R), current licensure if applicable, and strong patient service skills; travel to multiple locations may be

Qualifications

• ARRT (R) certification and state license if applicable.
• Current CPR/BLS certification; ACLS where applicable.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.
• Ability to travel between locations and cover shifts.
• Strong customer service and multi-tasking skills.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of EMR/PACS/DICOM.

Responsibilities

• Produce diagnostic radiographic images for interpretation per physician orders.
• Operate different X-ray equipment and ensure patient safety.
• Document contrast administration and radiation exposure per policy.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and facility procedures.
• Train new staff and coordinate coverage for absences.
• Assist licensed practitioners as needed and support EMR/PACS workflows.
