Job summary

Akumin is seeking a PRN X-Ray Technologist to produce diagnostic radiographs at multiple South Florida sites. The role requires ARRT (R), state license where applicable, CPR/BLS, and the ability to travel between locations.

Candidates should have a strong customer service mindset, be comfortable using EMR/PACS/DICOM systems, and participate in ongoing education. This is a per-diem position with flexibility to cover shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• ARRT (R) certification and state license as applicable.
• CPR/BLS certification required; ACLS where applicable.
• Ability to travel between sites and work at multiple facilities.

Responsibilities

• Administer ionizing radiation to obtain diagnostic exams as ordered by the physician and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
• Demonstrate competency with differing X-ray equipment and communicate with patients and radiologists.
• Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and document procedures accurately.
• Utilize EMR, PACS, and DICOM systems for image sharing and interpretation.
• Train new staff and participate in ongoing education and site-specific competencies.
