Job summary

Townsen Memorial Hospital is seeking a PRN Dual Modality Technologist to join our X-ray, CT, and MRI team. The role includes mid shift 3pm-11pm or night shift 11pm-7am, performing diagnostic radiographs, CT and MRI imaging, and ensuring patient safety and high-quality images.

The ideal candidate will hold an accredited radiologic technology degree, Texas MRT license, ARRT MR/RT credentials, and BLS certification, with experience in multiple imaging modalities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or equivalent
• Licensed by the Texas Medical Board as an MRT
• ARRT-MR or ARRT and MR certification as applicable
• BLS certification is required
• Two years of experience in more than one modality

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient for radiological procedures by positioning and adjusting equipment.
• Gain patient cooperation by explaining procedures and addressing questions.
• Minimize radiation exposure with proper protection techniques.
• Maintain safe environment by following infection-control policies and drug protocols.
• Operate radiology and CT/MRI equipment and perform image acquisitions.
• Document patient care and transfer images to EMR.
