Job summary

Townsen Memorial Hospital is seeking a PRN Dual Modality Technologist to join our imaging team. The Dual Modality Technologist will perform X-ray and MRI examinations, prepare patients, position them correctly, and ensure high-quality images while following safety protocols.

Ideal candidates graduate from an accredited radiologic program, hold ARRT MR/CT registrations, possess BLS, and have experience in multiple modalities within the X-ray/MRI department.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or Associates Degree in Radiology Studies.
• Licensed by the Medical State Board of Texas as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT).
• Registered MRI Technologist by ARRT (MR) or ARRT MR, and ARMRIT registration may be required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Two years of experience in more than one specialty modality.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine diagnostic x-rays, portable x-rays and fluoroscopy.
• Operate X-ray and MRI equipment in the XRay/MRI department.
• Prepare patient, position, and ensure safe exposure factors.
• Document patient care and maintain records.
• Follow radiation protection and infection control protocols.
