Job summary

Townsen Memorial Hospital is seeking a PRN Dual Modality Technologist to perform X-ray and CT imaging as well as MRI imaging within the X-Ray/MRI department. Duties include patient preparation, positioning, exposure control, and image transfer to EMR.

The role requires MRT or ARRT MR/ARMRIT credentials, BLS, and experience in more than one modality. Flexibility for mid or night shifts is needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or an Associate's Degree in Radiology
• Licensed by the Texas Medical Board as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT)
• Registered MRI Technologist by ARRT-MR or ARRT MR with ARMRIT credential
• BLS Certification is required
• Two years of experience in more than one modality

Responsibilities

• Operate X-ray equipment and CT imaging with proper exposure settings
• Position patients and ensure radiation protection
• Process and transfer images to EMR
• Maintain equipment and supplies
• Follow safety policies and infection control procedures
• Distribute films to staff and ensure charting is complete
