Job summary

The Phoenix Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our skilled nursing team. The position emphasizes geriatric respiratory care, independence in therapy, and well-documented patient progress.

Responsibilities include assessments, initiating therapies, bedside treatments, and collaborative participation in IDT meetings. Candidates must hold an RRT/CRT license and state licensure with BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program; licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state of practice; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments and implement respiratory therapy to rehabilitate patients with various respiratory illnesses.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check and assemble equipment.
• Perform bedside treatments and document daily, weekly and monthly activities.
• Provide in-services for nursing staff quarterly and participate in IDT meetings.
• Support care for tracheotomy patients and maintain compliance with facility protocols.
• Track, audit and manage caseload; perform related duties as required.

Respiratory Therapist (RT)Looking for a full time talented and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience. • Completes assessments and implements Respiratory technique to maintain or rehab patient with many different Respiratory illness/diseases.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation
• Attend applicable IDT meetings
• Experience with tracheotomy
• Experience is a long term care setting
• Follow procedure and protocol of facility
• Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management
• Performs related duties as required

Respiratory Therapist (RT) QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Salary: $48 to $52 an hour
