Job summary

The Phoenix Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Harlem, GA is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our geriatric care team. The candidate will assess and treat residents, initiate therapies, and maintain accurate documentation with minimal supervision.

Experience with tracheotomy and long-term care is preferred. The role requires COARC-accredited education and licensure as RRT or CRT, plus BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC-accredited AS or BS Respiratory program; licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the practicing state with BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory assessments and therapeutic interventions for various respiratory illnesses.
• Initiate therapies, maintain records, and operate equipment.
• Provide bedside treatments.
• Conduct nursing in-services quarterly.
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly documentation.
• Attend IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheotomy.
• Experience in long-term care settings.
• Follow facility procedures and protocols.
• Track, audit, and manage caseload.
• Perform related duties as required.

Respiratory Therapist (RT)Looking for a full time talented and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience. • Completes assessments and implements Respiratory technique to maintain or rehab patient with many different Respiratory illness/diseases.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation
• Attend applicable IDT meetings
• Experience with tracheotomy
• Experience is a long term care setting
• Follow procedure and protocol of facility
• Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management
• Performs related duties as required
