Job summary

The Phoenix Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join a dynamic team in a skilled nursing facility. The RT will assess, treat, and manage respiratory care for residents, with weekend coverage (Saturday and Sunday).

License in the practicing state and BLS are required; experience in long-term care and tracheotomy handling is expected. Candidates should be capable of independent work, contribute to resident improvement, and participate in quarterly

Qualifications

• Requires COARC-accredited respiratory program completion and licensure (RRT/CRT).
• Licensed in practicing state; BLS certification.
• Ability to evaluate and treat independently in geriatric population.

Responsibilities

• Assess and implement respiratory techniques for various illnesses and diseases.
• Initiate therapies, maintain records, operate and assemble equipment.
• Provide bedside respiratory treatments and educate nursing staff quarterly.
• Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly documentation; attend IDT meetings.

Respiratory Therapist (RT)Looking for a full time talented and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience. • Completes assessments and implements Respiratory technique to maintain or rehab patient with many different Respiratory illness/diseases.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation
• Attend applicable IDT meetings
• Experience with tracheotomy
• Experience is a long term care setting
• Follow procedure and protocol of facility
• Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management
• Performs related duties as required

Respiratory Therapist (RT) QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program. Licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state in which practicing BLS certification.

Salary: $48 to $52 an hour
