Job summary

CareRite Centers, LLC in New York seeks a full-time Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join a skilled nursing team. Must be licensed in the practicing state, capable of independent evaluation and therapy, and dedicated to geriatric patient care.

Responsibilities include assessments, initiating therapies, maintaining records, bedside treatments, and staff education. Experience with tracheostomy and long-term care is preferred; weekend coverage (Sat/Sun) is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC-accredited Respiratory program (AS or BS).
• Licensed as RRT or CRT in the practicing state; maintain BLS.
• Experience in geriatric long-term care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory assessments and therapies.
• Initiate therapies and maintain patient records; operate equipment.
• Provide bedside treatments and document daily progress.
• Deliver in-services for nursing staff quarterly.
• Attend IDT meetings as required.
• Support caseload tracking and auditing.

Respiratory Therapist (RT)Looking for a full time talented and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience. • Completes assessments and implements Respiratory technique to maintain or rehab patient with many different Respiratory illness/diseases.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation
• Attend applicable IDT meetings
• Experience with tracheotomy
• Experience is a long term care setting
• Follow procedure and protocol of facility
• Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management
• Performs related duties as required

Respiratory Therapist (RT) QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program. Licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state in which practicing BLS certification.

Salary: $48 to $52 an hour
