Job summary

The Phoenix Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Williamsburg, VA is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our skilled nursing team. The RT will evaluate and treat geriatric residents independently, perform bedside therapies, and ensure accurate documentation and staff education; licensure in the state is required.

This role emphasizes patient-centered care in a long-term care setting. Salary ranges from $48 to $52 per hour with Monday–Sunday coverage considerations; ideal candidates

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Licensed as RRT or CRT.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements Respiratory technique to maintain or rehab patient with many different Respiratory illness/diseases.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation
• Attend applicable IDT meetings
• Experience with tracheotomy
• Experience is a long term care setting
• Follow procedure and protocol of facility
• Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management
• Performs related duties as required
