Job summary

The Phoenix Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in New York is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join our skilled nursing team. Candidates must be licensed in the practicing state (RRT or CRT), hold BLS certification, and have a COARC-accredited AS or BS in Respiratory Therapy.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC-accredited AS or BS Respiratory program; licensed RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the practicing state; BLS certification.
• Experience in long-term care setting and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform assessments and implement respiratory therapies for residents.
• Initiate therapies, document care, operate and maintain equipment.
• Deliver bedside treatments and provide quarterly staff in-services.
• Maintain daily, weekly and monthly documentation; participate in IDT meetings.
• Manage caseload, track audits, and perform related duties.
• Attend applicable IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheotomy.
• Follow facility procedures and protocols.
• Complete tracking, auditing and caseload management.

Respiratory Therapist (RT)Looking for a full time talented and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience. • Completes assessments and implements Respiratory technique to maintain or rehab patient with many different Respiratory illness/diseases.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation
• Attend applicable IDT meetings
• Experience with tracheotomy
• Experience is a long term care setting
• Follow procedure and protocol of facility
• Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management
• Performs related duties as required

Respiratory Therapist (RT) QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Salary: $48 to $52 an hour
