University Health is seeking a Surgical Technician I to join our team in San Antonio. This role supports the operating room team, ensures patient safety, and assists with instrument selection and handling during procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program and CST certification; OR equivalent healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of duties in the Operating Room to assist the surgical team.
• Provides competent assistance to ensure patient safety and welfare in the OR.
• Identifies and selects clinical equipment and instrumentation for procedures.
• Maintains sterile technique and supports the surgeon during invasive procedures.
