Job summary

PACS is seeking a Staff Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat residents, coordinate with families and health team members, and maintain comprehensive documentation. The role includes supervising CFY/ student clinicians and delivering in-services for staff.

A state license and CE requirements must be maintained, with proficiency in Net Health and Point Click Care. Responsibilities include developing treatment plans, educating residents and families, and participating in quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Master’s or Doctorate preferred.
• Licensed as Speech Therapist in the state and maintain CE requirements.
• Proficient in data entry in Net Health and Point Click Care.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine speech therapy needs and rehabilitation potential.
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans to improve function.
• Supervise CFY Speech Clinial Fellows or students.
• Communicate progress and discharge plans with families and physicians.
• Participate in care conferences and continuing education for staff.
• Provide in-services and training to facility staff as needed.
• Maintain timely, accurate, compliant documentation per regulations.
• Educate residents and families on goals, exercises, and safety.
