Job summary

PACS is seeking a Staff Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate residents, develop individualized treatment plans, and coordinate care with physicians and the health team.

You will supervise CFY trainees and students, provide staff trainings, ensure compliant documentation, and educate residents and families on goals and home programs. A license and degree in Speech-Language Pathology are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology; Master’s or Doctorate preferred.
• Licensed as a Speech Therapist in the state; CPR certification if required.
• Experience with health-record software and hospital documentation.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine speech therapy needs and rehab potential.
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans to improve independence.
• Supervise CFY or students in resident care and activities.
• Communicate progress with physicians, nursing staff, and families.
• Complete timely, compliant documentation per policies and regs.
• Educate residents and families on goals, home programs, and safety.
