Intermountain Health in Utah seeks a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to deliver advanced respiratory care, interpret tests, and implement treatment plans under physician orders. This on-site role supports CRT staff and may involve special projects and on-call duties as needed.

The position requires NBRC-approved education, RRT credential, current state license, BLS, and relevant certifications such as PALS/ACLS/NRP, with a focus on patient safety and quality improvement.

Competenze

• Graduate of NBRC approved Respiratory Therapist program.
• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (RRT).
• Current license as Registered Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers is required.
• Specific certifications as required (i.e. PALS, ACLS, NRP) is required.

Mansioni

• Performs, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic testing procedures according to protocol. Obtains arterial gases. Oversees and troubleshoots equipment for optimal patient care. Initiates Respiratory Protocol according to department criteria.
• Administers medications in a timely and safe manner. Evaluates effect and re-evaluates appropriately and communicates patient progress to staff, physicians and other departments.
• Maintains awareness of assigned patient’s overall condition and shares information with physicians and nurses. Teaches patients and families self-care techniques and modalities.
• Completes documentation according to standards. Monitors supplies and equipment and maintains productivity.
• Promotes the profession and participates in quality improvement and research activities.
