Job summary

Intermountain Health St George Regional Hospital seeks a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide advanced care, interpret tests, and manage respiratory therapy per physician orders. You will act as a resource to CRT staff and may lead clinical projects as designated by leadership.

The role involves PRN variable shifts, with responsibilities spanning patient assessment, medication administration, documentation, and quality/safety initiatives. On-call may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of NBRC approved Respiratory Therapist program from an accredited institution.
• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (RRT).
• Current license as Registered Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice.
• BLS for healthcare providers is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic testing per protocol.
• Administer medications timely and safely and reassess as needed.
• Communicate patient progress to physicians and staff and educate patients/families.
• Complete documentation per departmental standards and monitor supplies/equipment.
• Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives; support department meetings.
