Job summary

Intermountain Health Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, UT is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide advanced cardiopulmonary care under physician orders and to mentor CRT staff.

The role requires NBRC-registered credential, state license, BLS, and ongoing certifications. You will monitor equipment, implement protocols, document care, and participate in quality initiatives. This is a full-time night shift with rotating weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be NBRC-registered Respiratory Therapist.
• Current state license as Registered Respiratory Therapist in the practice state.
• BLS for healthcare providers required; PALS/ACLS/NRP as required.

Responsibilities

• Performs, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic testing per protocol.
• Obtains arterial blood gases.
• Oversees and troubleshoots equipment for patient care.
• Initiates Respiratory Protocol per department criteria.
• Initiates interventions based on assessments.
• Administers medications safely and timely.
• Documents and communicates patient progress to care team.
• Promotes patient education and self-care techniques.
• Participates in quality improvement and safety initiatives.
