Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Fort Worth is hiring a PRN Registered Nurse for our Post-Surgical Unit on day shifts. The PSU RN provides direct nursing care to post-surgical patients, responds to emergencies, and administers medications. You must hold a Texas RN license and BLS; ACLS within 6 months of hire.

BSN preferred and 2+ years in hospital Med/Surg or ICU are highly valued. This role requires strong clinical assessment, excellent communication, and the ability to coordinate care

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Current Texas RN license; BLS required; ACLS within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care for post-surgical patients per standards.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care following physician orders.
• Respond to emergencies; perform Medical Screening Exam as delegated.
• Educate patients and families; document education provided.
• Manage acute and chronic pain and administer medications safely.
