Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Fort Worth is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse for our ICU Post-Surgical Unit on the night shift. You will provide direct nursing care to post-surgical patients, respond to emergencies, and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate has a Texas RN license, BLS, ACLS within 6 months, and at least two years of hospital Medical/Surgical or ICU experience. BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current Texas RN License.
• Current BLS; ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum two years’ RN experience in hospital Medical/Surgery or ICU.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for post-surgical patients per standards of care.
• Respond to emergencies and perform MSE as delegated by the Medical Executive Committee.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care per physician orders.
• Document and communicate patient education needs to patients and families.
• Manage pain control and safe medication delivery for post-procedural patients.
• Follow hospital documentation policies and ensure accurate charting.
