Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Fort Worth is seeking a Full Time Registered Nurse for the Post-Surgical Unit. The PSU Nurse provides nursing care for post-surgical patients and responds to emergencies in a high-intensity environment.

The role requires a Texas RN license, BLS, ACLS within 6 months, and at least two years in a hospital Med/Surg/ICU setting. BSN preferred; duty includes patient education and careful pain management.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Current Texas RN License is required.
• BLS certification; ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum two years' hospital Med/Surg or ICU experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to post-surgical patients per policies.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care based on orders.
• Respond quickly to emergencies and assess patient status.
• Educate patients and families; document education provided.
• Manage pain and administer medications safely.
• Ensure proper documentation and MSE follow-up.
