Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Fort Worth is hiring a Full Time Registered Nurse for our Post-Surgical Unit. DayShift available. Join a facility with advanced operating rooms and comprehensive surgical services in Fort Worth, TX.

The PSU Nurse will provide nursing care for post-surgical patients, respond to emergencies, and deliver education to patients and families. Requires Texas RN license, BLS; ACLS within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current Texas RN License required.
• BLS required; ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum two years’ hospital RN experience in Medical/Surgical or ICU.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for post-surgical patients per standards of care.
• Respond to emergencies and conduct medical screening exams as delegated.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care with physician orders.
• Educate patients and families; document care and education provided.
• Manage pain and medication administration with safety and assessment.
