Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Uptown in Dallas, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Post-Surgical Unit (PSU) on a full-time day shift. The RN will plan, direct, coordinate and implement nursing care for post-surgical patients, ensuring the highest quality care and compliance with professional standards.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited RN program and Texas RN licensure; BLS is required, ACLS preferred. 1–2 years in hospital Medical/Surgical or ICU is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN school with current Texas RN licensure.
• BLS required, ACLS preferred.
• 1–2 years’ hospital experience in Medical/Surgical or ICU preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, organize, coordinate and implement all nursing care for post-surgical patients to standards of care.
• Ensure highest quality and safe delivery of patient care and compliance with professional standards.
• Respond to patients presenting with healthcare needs and perform Medical Screening Exams as delegated.
