Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Fort Worth is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse for the Post-Surgical Unit in Fort Worth, TX. Night shifts available. Join us in a 30-bed acute care surgical hospital with advanced tech and diverse specialties.

The PSU RN provides comprehensive care to post-surgical patients, responds to emergencies, and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safety and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

Current Texas RN license required.
ACLS certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
Minimum two years of RN experience in hospital Medical/Surgical or ICU.
BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care for post-surgical patients per standards.
Plan, implement and evaluate nursing care per orders.
Respond quickly to emergencies.
Identify educational needs and educate patient/family.
Manage acute and chronic pain for post-procedure patients.
Deliver medications safely and monitor patient response.
Follow MSE and hospital policies for follow-up.
Maintain accurate documentation per policy.
