Job summary

Vibra Healthcare, LLC. is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for PRN night or day shifts in a Long Term Acute Care facility in Kentucky.

The role involves supervising and operating respiratory care equipment under the Respiratory Therapy Manager or Lead Therapist, and supporting physician requests. Responsibilities include conducting ventilator management, blood gas analysis, trach care, and routine equipment maintenance, with emphasis on patient education, documentation, and adherence to safety

Qualifications

• Licensed Respiratory Practitioner required by state of employment.
• BLS certification must be on hire; ACLS within 90 days of employment.
• Licenses and certifications must be maintained for duration of employment.
• PRN position available for nights or days.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for adult and geriatric patients (18+).
• Explain treatments and document education in patient charts.
• Administer physician-prescribed treatments (nebulizers, nasal oxygen devices, humidity, oxygen concentrations).
• Set up, operate and monitor ventilators; participate in ventilator weaning as directed.
• Maintain ventilation during CPR and perform intubation as needed.
• Record treatments and patient responses; update MARs.
• Perform trach care and document changes per policy.
• Maintain and document respiratory equipment cleanliness and safety checks.
• Attend Respiratory Care meetings and participate in safety programs.
