Job summary

Vibra Healthcare in Mayfield, KY is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to support PRN Nights or Days on Wednesdays. Under supervision of the Respiratory Therapy Manager, you will operate respiratory care equipment and provide therapies to diagnose and treat respiratory conditions.

The role requires licensure as a Respiratory Practitioner in the state, BLS at hire, and ACLS within 90 days. You will assist with ventilator management and documentation in a long term acute care setting.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice by the state of employment as a Respiratory Practitioner.
• BLS upon hire and ACLS within 90 days of employment.
• Must maintain licenses and certification for the duration of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provides care for adult or geriatric patients (18+).
• Explain purpose and procedure of treatments to patients and document education.
• Administer physician-prescribed respiratory therapies (nebulizers, oxygen, humidified gases).
• Set up, operate and monitor ventilators; participate in ventilator weaning per protocols.
• Perform trach care and change out trach tubes per policy.
• Record treatments and patient responses; maintain respiratory care records.
• Conduct equipment maintenance and pre-use checks; ensure safety and sterility.
