Job summary

Elior North America is seeking a PRN Registered Dietitian to join the healthcare team in Cortland Manor, NY, onsite at Hudson Valley Hospital Center. The RD will identify and assess nutritional needs, initiate interventions to maintain nutritional status, and improve quality of life aligned with patient goals.

Typical schedule is 8–16 hours per month with potential for additional weekday/weekend coverage. Must have RD credentials, nutrition education, licensure, and ability to teach nutrition.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience as a Registered Dietitian.
• Bachelor's degree in nutrition (completed before 2024) or related field.
• Master's degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed a national examination administered by the CDR or eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for assessments, care planning, and residents' rights.
• Ability to teach nutrition and dietetics to others.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards of practice and facility requirements.
• Interact with other departments to set up procedures and policies for dining service and nutrition.
• Participate in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.
