Job summary

Elior North America is hiring a PRN Registered Dietitian for the healthcare team in Cortland Manor, NY. You will assess nutritional needs, initiate interventions, and help enhance residents' quality of life in a part-time onsite capacity at Hudson Valley Hospital Center-MAIN.

The role typically schedules 8-16 hours per month with potential for additional weekday, weekend or vacation coverage, offering growth opportunities within a hospital nutrition team.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience as a Registered Dietitian
• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition (or related field)
• Master’s degree in Nutrition or related field
• Passed a national exam by CDR or eligible per Academy standards
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years, per CDR requirements
• Licensed or certified per state requirements
• Knowledge of comprehensive assessments and care planning
• Ability to educate others on nutrition and dietetics

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents and staff
• Follow Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards and facility regulations
• Collaborate with departments to set up procedures related to dining and nutrition
• Contribute to quality improvement programs and continuous review of care plans
