Job summary

Elior North America is seeking a PRN Registered Dietitian in Cortland Manor, NY, to assess nutritional needs, implement interventions, and enhance patient quality of life in a healthcare setting. Flexible 8–16 hours per month with potential for more coverage on weekdays or weekends, on-site at Hudson Valley Hospital Center.

The role requires RD credentials, state licensure, and a commitment to continuing education and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience as a Registered Dietitian.
• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (before 2024) or related field.
• Master’s degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed a national examination by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets AND eligibility requirements.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years, per CDR requirements.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of standards for assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the healthcare team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards and facility regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments to establish nutrition-related policies and procedures.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to nutrition and dining services.
