Job summary

American Family Care is seeking a PRN Radiologic Technologist to balance high-quality imaging with clinical support in a fast-paced urgent care setting. You will perform X-ray exams, assist with patient care, and flex into MA duties as needed.

The role emphasizes safety (ALARA), teamwork, and reliability for mobile coverage across shifts. ARRT certification and BLS are required or attainable during onboarding; strong documentation skills are valued.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in good standing is required.
• Active BLS certification or ability to obtain within onboarding period.
• At least 1 year of urgent care/ER imaging experience preferred.
• Strong insurance verification and EMR documentation skills.
• Willing to cover MA/MR duties as needed.
• Experience in radiology, CT, or MRI preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work as an X-Ray Technologist supporting urgent care operations.
• Perform diagnostic radiology exams safely following ALARA.
• Collaborate with providers for timely care.
• Flex into MA clinical duties (triage, labs, venipuncture, wound care) when not imaging.
• Support MR tasks (insurance verification, registration, payment collection).
• Maintain equipment QC and compliance logs.
