Job summary

American Family Care is seeking a PRN Radiologic Technologist to deliver high-quality X-ray imaging in a fast-paced urgent care setting. You will balance radiology duties with MA tasks, insurance verification, and efficient patient flow.

The role requires ARRT RT certification, BLS, and at least 1 year of urgent care imaging experience. You’ll work on imaging (XR), CT or MRI as available, maintain QC logs, and participate in a supportive team with opportunities for CEUs and growth.

Qualifications

• ARRT-certified in good standing and RT license where required.
• Active BLS certification or must be obtained within defined onboarding period.
• 1+ year urgent care/ER imaging experience preferred.
• Strong insurance verification and EMR documentation skills.
• Flexible team player willing to cover MA/MR duties.
• Experience in radiology, CT, or MRI preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiology (X-ray) exams safely, following ALARA.
• Work as an X-Ray Technologist while supporting urgent care operations.
• Collaborate with providers to ensure timely care.
• Flex into MA clinical duties (triage, labs, venipuncture, wound care) when not performing imaging/radiology.
• Support MR tasks (insurance verification, registration, payment collection).
• Maintain equipment QC and compliance logs.
