Job summary

Cottonwoodnursing is looking for a compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house team on a PRN basis. The ideal candidate will provide person-centered care, helping residents achieve improved mobility, strength, and overall quality of life.

As a PTA, you will administer prescribed treatments, monitor patient progress, and ensure thorough documentation. Candidates should have an active Texas PTA license and preferably experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Texas Physical Therapy Assistant license.
• In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards.
• Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long-term care experience preferred.
• Experience with electronic documentation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatments.
• Provide skilled physical therapy services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Implement and modify patients’ physical therapy plans of care.
• Monitor patient response to treatment interventions.

Skills

Active and valid Texas Physical Therapy Assistant license

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Current knowledge of physical therapy treatment practices

Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs
