Job summary

WellSpan Health is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist to provide entry to intermediate level therapy services. You will assess patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and guide patients through therapeutic exercises and modalities.

Position requires Monday–Friday with some day and evening hours, plus one Saturday per month. Licensed PT with BLS preferred; previous rehab experience beneficial. On-site role supporting interdisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program in physical therapy.
• Licensed Physical Therapist upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patient using diagnostic and prognostic muscle, nerve, joint and functional ability tests.
• Plans individualized physical therapy program for each patient including exercises, modalities and procedures.
• Directs and supervises patient in active, active assisted, passive exercises, muscle re-education, and functional training using equipment as needed.
• Provides instructions in therapeutic procedures to be continued by the patient.
• Coordinates physical therapy activities with interdisciplinary team to achieve goals.
• Participates in training medical and nursing personnel in physical therapy techniques and objectives.
• Utilizes safe patient handling techniques for transfers, lifts and positioning.
• Supervises PTAs and Rehab Aides as required by PA practice act.
