Job summary

WellSpan Health is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist to deliver patient-centered care across post-surgical and outpatient settings. You will evaluate patients, design individualized therapy plans, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to achieve rehabilitation goals.

This role emphasizes cross-training and weekend/holiday coverage, ensuring flexibility and continuity of care for diverse patient populations within WellSpan Health facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in physical therapy.
• Less than 1 year of relevant experience required.
• Licensed Physical Therapist upon hire.
• Basic Life Support upon hire.
• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients using diagnostic and prognostic tests.
• Plan individualized physical therapy programs including exercises and modalities.
• Direct and supervise patients in various exercises and functional training.
• Provide instructions for continued therapy by the patient.
• Coordinate PT activities with interdisciplinary team to achieve goals.
• Train medical and nursing staff in PT techniques and objectives.
• Use safe patient handling techniques for transfers and positioning.
• Supervise PTAs and Rehab Aides as required by PA practice act.
• Maintain patient records to support medical necessity and functional abilities.
