Job summary

WellSpan Health is seeking a part-time physical therapist to provide services at an entry to intermediate level to individual patients and collaborate with an interdisciplinary treatment team. The role supports patient-centered care and requires active engagement with the care team.

Responsibilities include patient evaluation, program planning, supervision of support staff, and instruction for ongoing home exercises. Weekend rotation and Mon/Wed/Fri shifts are part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• Autonomous professional delivering PT services at entry to intermediate level.
• Licensed PT required at start of employment; BLS as required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patients using diagnostic and prognostic tests of muscles, nerves, joints and function.
• Plans individualized physical therapy programs including exercises and modalities.
• Directs and supervises patients in various forms of therapy and functional training.
• Provides patient instructions for continuing procedures at home.
• Coordinates PT activities with the interdisciplinary team to meet goals.
• Trains medical and nursing staff in PT techniques and objectives.
• Uses safe handling for all patient transfers and positions.
• Supervises PTAs and Rehab Aides as required by PA law.
