Job summary

TriCore Reference Laboratories is seeking a Clinical Lab Assistant - Phlebotomist for PRN shifts at SRMC. The role involves performing phlebotomy, specimen handling, and clerical duties with minimal supervision.

Immunization against Hepatitis B is required or a waiver may be accepted, and on-call responsibilities are part of the position. Candidates should have a high school diploma; ASCP certification or completion of a related program is preferred.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma or equivalent required.
• PBT (ASCP) or equivalent certification preferred.
• Completion of a Clinical Lab Assistant program preferred.
• Immunization against Hepatitis B or waiver; documentation of PPD test.
• Valid driver's license and ability to work in a health care facility.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintains supplies and inventory to perform departmental functions.
• Observe students and new staff as needed.
• Demonstrates professional judgment when dealing with clients and coworkers.
• On-call responsibilities as assigned; manage communications by location.
• Maintain confidentiality of information; document critical communications.
• Participate in holiday/evening/weekend coverage as needed.
• Basic PC skills applied to clerical and testing support.
