BrightSpring Health Services Corporation, through Pharmacy Alternatives, is hiring a PRN Pharmacist in Christiansburg, VA to support our closed-door long-term care pharmacy team in a non-retail setting.

You will evaluate orders, provide clinical recommendations, maintain resident profiles, ensure safety monitoring, collaborate with physicians and nurses, and help ensure regulatory compliance.

Competenze

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy required; Pharm D preferred.
• One year experience in long-term care.
• Current pharmacist license in the state of practice; knowledge of drug therapy guidelines.

Mansioni

• Evaluate physician medication orders for drug appropriateness, dosage, interactions, and route of administration.
• Provide clinical recommendations to physicians and healthcare staff.
• Maintain up-to-date patient/resident profiles and medication lists.
• Ensure laboratory tests for monitoring high-risk meds are ordered and reviewed.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals for clinical support.
• Document communications and interventions in the medical record.
