PharMerica, an affiliate of BrightSpring Health Services, seeks a Pharmacist for our Virginia Beach, VA location. This full-time, non-retail role offers a rotating schedule with weekend coverage and comprehensive benefits for long-term care and senior living clients.

You will review orders, provide clinical recommendations, maintain patient profiles, and collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize therapy while ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality care.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy; PharmD preferred.
• One year of experience in long-term care.
• Current and valid pharmacist license in the state of practice.
• Knowledge of CMS, DEA, FDA guidelines and safety practices.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and pharmacy systems.
• Strong clinical judgement with effective written and verbal communication.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness, dosage and interactions.
• Provide clinical recommendations to physicians and facility staff.
• Maintain resident profiles with medical history and current meds.
• Ensure monitoring labs for high-risk meds are ordered and reviewed.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals for therapy optimization.
• Document communications and interventions in medical records.
• Enforce policies for safe procurement, storage, and disposal of meds.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
