Job summary

Akumin in the Tampa area is hiring a PET/CT Technologist for PRN assignments across our Tampa facilities. The role emphasizes patient care, precise imaging, and teamwork in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Qualified candidates will have NMTCB or ARRT (N) certification, CPR, and state license as required, with 1–2 years of Nuclear Medicine experience preferred. Posture across multiple sites may be required; strong communication and organizational skills are essential to deliver high-quality

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree preferred.
• Certification in Nuclear Medicine by NMTCB or ARRT (N) required.
• State license and CPR certification as applicable.
• 1–2 years’ Nuclear Medicine experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety with pre-screening and radiation safety practices.
• Produce high quality diagnostic PET/CT images.
• Communicate effectively with patients and radiologists.
• Train new technologists and troubleshoot equipment as needed.
