Job summary

Akumin is seeking a PET-CT Technologist for South Florida facilities on a PRN basis. The role involves ensuring patient safety, producing high-quality PET/CT images, and providing compassionate patient care across multiple sites including freestanding outpatient centers and hospital-based facilities.

The candidate should have a High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree preferred), NMTCB or ARRT(N) certification, CPR, a valid driver’s license if required, and 1–2 years of Nuclear

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s Degree preferred.
• Certification in Nuclear Medicine by NMTCB or ARRT(N) required.
• State license, as required.
• CPR certification required.
• Valid state driver’s license if applicable.
• 1–2 years of Nuclear Medicine experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety including pre-screening for contraindications and radiation safety documentation.
• Produce high quality diagnostic PET/CT images.
• Communicate effectively with patients and radiologists.
• Train new technologists and/or PC’s.
• Troubleshoot scanner, monitor, and peripheral equipment.
