Job summary

Akumin is seeking a PET-CT Technologist for our South Florida facilities on a PRN basis. The role emphasizes patient safety, accurate imaging, and clear communication with patients and radiologists.

Qualified candidates will have NMTCB or ARRT (N) certification, CPR, and the ability to work across several sites. The position supports flexibility in scheduling and a patient-centered care approach within Akumin’s outpatient imaging network.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s Degree preferred.
• Certification in Nuclear Medicine by NMTCB or ARRT (N) required.
• State license, CPR certification, and valid driver’s license if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety and radiation safety compliance during procedures.
• Produce high quality PET/CT images and accurately interpret orders.
• Communicate effectively with patients and radiologists to ensure comfort and understanding.
• Train new technologists and assist with equipment troubleshooting.
• Work at multiple facilities as needed to deliver imaging services.
