Job summary

Akumin is hiring a PET-CT Technologist for our South Florida facilities in a PRN capacity. The role focuses on patient safety, high-quality imaging, and clear communication with radiologists. Flexible scheduling spans freestanding centers, mobile coaches, or hospital facilities.

Required are a high school diploma, NMTCB/ARRT(N) certification, CPR, and ability to travel between sites. Prior Nuclear Medicine experience and state licenses are preferred; COVID-19 vaccination may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree preferred.
• Certification in Nuclear Medicine by NMTCB or ARRT (N) required.
• State license, as required.
• CPR certification required.
• 1–2 years’ Nuclear Medicine experience preferred.
• Ability to work at several locations.
• Local travel may be required.
• COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment.
• Pre-employment background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety and radiation safety procedures.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic PET/CT images.
• Communicate effectively with patients and radiologists.
• Train new technologists and PC staff as needed.
• Troubleshoot scanner, coach, and peripheral equipment.
