Job summary

Mitchell County Regional Health Center in Osage, Iowa, is seeking a Patient Registration Associate to provide an excellent patient experience by phone and in person. You will help maintain patient flow, schedule appointments, register patients, and collect time-of-service copays.

This PRN position offers a starting wage of 16.95 per hour, requires a high school diploma or equivalent and basic typing/computer skills, and emphasizes confidentiality and courteous service in a busy ambulatory

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Six months of office experience, preferably in ambulatory/medical setting.
• Typing/Computer experience is preferred.
• The ability to deal effectively with a wide variety of people, detail oriented, multi task, and maintain confidentiality is required.
• Must be courteous and work with people in a professional manner.
• Requires completion of Mandatory Reporting within 6 months of hire and renewal every 3 years.
• Must provide proof of Basic Life Support (BLS Healthcare Provider) via current card prior to employment or within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent patient experience to all patients and visitors via phone and in person.
• Maintain patient flow, schedule appointments, direct phone calls, handle messages and register hospital and clinic patients.
• Collect time-of-service copays and act as a liaison between patient and care team to promote comfort and trust.
