Job summary

Mitchell County Regional Health Center in Osage, Iowa is seeking a Patient Registration Associate to deliver an outstanding patient experience by phone and in person. The role includes managing patient flow, scheduling, directing calls, registering patients, and collecting copays.

The position is PRN, with shifts 5am-5pm, Monday through Saturday, starts at $16.95 per hour and increases with experience; employment requires basic life support and compliance with reporting requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; knowledge of medical terminology or completion of a medical terminology course in the first year of employment.
• Six months of office experience, preferably in ambulatory setting such as a medical office.
• Typing/Computer experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide an excellent patient experience by phone and in person; manage patient flow and scheduling; direct calls and messages; register hospital and clinic patients; collect time of service copays.
• Act as a link between patients and clinical staff to support patient comfort and trust.
