Job summary

Mitchell County Regional Health Center in Osage, Iowa, is seeking a Patient Registration Associate to deliver an exceptional patient experience by phone and in person. You will help manage patient flow, schedule appointments, route calls, register hospital and clinic patients, and collect time-of-service copays while collaborating with care teams to promote comfort and trust.

This PRN role offers early morning shifts from 5am to 5pm, Monday through Saturday, with flexible hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; medical terminology knowledge preferred.
• Six months of office experience, preferably in ambulatory setting.
• Typing/Computer experience is preferred.
• Ability to deal effectively with a wide variety of people; maintain confidentiality.
• Mandatory reporting: 6 months from hire and renew every 3 years; BLS certification required or obtained within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide an excellent patient experience via phone and in person.
• Maintain patient flow and schedule appointments; direct calls and handle messages.
• Register hospital and clinic patients and collect time-of-service copays.
• Collaborate with clinical and service staff to support patient care and comfort.
