Baptist Beaches in Jacksonville, FL is hiring a Patient Access Representative II for a PRN role to join our patient access team. You will register patients accurately, use multiple systems, and cross-train in various access areas.

The role emphasizes service excellence, HIPAA compliance, and knowledge of EMTALA/AHCA/JCAHO. 1-2 years of customer service, healthcare, and insurance experience are preferred, with a High School diploma required.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of Customer Service experience required
• 1-2 years of healthcare experience required
• 1-2 years of insurance experience required
• High School Diploma required

Responsibilities

• Registers patients accurately and efficiently
• Utilization of multiple systems and interfaces
• Cross-Trained in order to work in multiple patient access areas
• Maintains service excellence to patients and visitors for face-to-face and telephonic encounters
• Contributes to PAS Goals as defined annually (Collections, Palm Scanning, etc.)
• Possesses a strong understanding of State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO
• Maintains a professional relationship with all clinical and non-clinical team members
• Able to articulate compliance documentation and ensure completion of required patient consent forms
• Maintains patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
