Job summary

Baptist Health in Jacksonville, FL invites applications for a PRN Patient Access Representative II to join the patient access team at Beaches - Main Building. You will register patients accurately, use multiple systems, and cross-train to support various access areas.

You will maintain service excellence for patients and visitors, ensure HIPAA compliance, and assist with annual PAS goals while upholding federal/state regulations including EMTALA/AHCA/JCAHO.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years customer service experience required.
• 1–2 years healthcare experience required.
• 1–2 years insurance experience required.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients accurately and efficiently.
• Utilization of multiple systems and interfaces.
• Cross-Trained in order to work in multiple patient access areas.
• Maintains service excellence to patients and visitors for face-to-face and telephonic encounters.
• Contributes to PAS Goals as defined annually (Collections, Palm Scanning, etc.).
• Possesses a strong understanding of State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO.
• Maintains a professional relationship with all clinical and non-clinical team members.
• Able to articulate compliance documentation and ensure completion of required patient consent forms.
• Maintains patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
